A foundation for the screening package
Identity and address-history information helps define where additional records may need to be researched. Agree on the appropriate search scope before ordering a broader package.
Connected verification
- Identity and address history
- Alias detection
- Criminal searches and employment or education verification
Use the trace to plan, not decide
An SSN trace is a starting point for locating names and address history that may guide later searches. It is not, by itself, a confirmation that a person lived at every listed address or that a record belongs to them. Review discrepancies with your screening specialist before drawing a conclusion.
For a multi-location hire, discuss which jurisdictions the address history suggests and which checks your policy calls for. Keep candidate authorization and any required notices in the screening system, rather than in a general inquiry form.
Questions to settle before ordering
- Which positions and locations are in scope?
- What identity details and aliases should be reviewed?
- Who will handle a mismatch or incomplete result before the hiring team acts?
