Decision brief

Which steps should a collection team practice?

Practice the procedure staff will actually perform: preparing the site, identifying the participant, collecting and labeling the specimen, documenting handoff, and escalating a problem. The steps depend on the device and program, so use current instructions and any applicable rules rather than a generic checklist. Noble Medical can discuss available training support; managed collection and laboratory services are separately scoped.

Bring to the conversation: Bring the device, collection protocol, staff roles, documentation forms, and examples of common errors.

Training topics

  • Chain-of-custody, step by step
  • Observed oral-fluid collection procedure
  • Documentation and result review

Session format

On-site. Training is scheduled with your rep and scoped to your locations.

Practice the steps people will perform

Collection training should cover the selected device’s instructions, documentation, specimen handling and the point at which a screen needs confirmation. The training plan should fit the people collecting and reviewing, rather than assume all staff have the same duties.

Ask how practice, questions and follow-up will be handled for each location. Current device instructions and your program policy remain the source of truth during use.

A specialist. A shared relationship.

Confirm the device before you order.

Bring the specimen format, panel, expected volume and current product-document questions. Your inquiry is saved for Noble staff follow-up; no external provider receives an order through this site.
